Paul Higgs is represented in the Art Gallery of NSW, Artbank, New England Regional Art Museum, Newcastle Regional Art Gallery, Wollongong City Art Gallery, Wollongong University Collection, Campbelltown City Art Gallery and many other private collections in Australia, the United Kingdom & Norway.

In 1983 Higgs was awarded the NSW Travelling Art Scholarship, travelling to the United Kingdom and Paris.

Untitled (Abstract) c.1988 shows the influence that artists such as Willem de Kooning have exerted on Higgs’s energetic abstract canvases.
