David Boyd Reconciliation Exhibition part 1
The opening night at Eva Breuer Art Dealer on Tuesday 3/4/01 was a great success. In attendance were three of Australia's greatest artists - David Boyd, and special guests John Coburn and Charles Blackman.
Much anticipation surrounded this series of paintings by David Boyd. He has created in this exhibition a relevant mythology that translates today's concerns into exciting, searing images to haunt the heart and mind. This is an exhibition not to be missed. It is a timely series from an artist of passion, imagination and humanity.
Now, in his seventy seventh year and the elder of the Boyd clan of artists, we are seeing in David a mature painter, at the full height of his powers, creating dynamic and confronting work.
David has always been deeply concerned about humanity and injustice. He has created in this exhibition a relevant mythology that translates today's concerns into exciting, searing images to haunt the heart and mind.
